Easy Peach Cobbler

4 cups fresh cut peaches
1/2 cup melted butter
1 cup all-purpose flour
2 cups sugar divided into two separate cups
1 TBS baking powder
pinch of salt
1 cup milk
cinnamon

melt butter into a 13x9 inch dish

combine flour, 1 cup sugar, baking powder, and salt. Add milk. stir ingredients. Pour this batter over the butter but do not stir. 

Bring 1 cup sugar and fresh peaches to a boil on the stove over high heat. Stir constantly. Pour mixture over the batter in the dish but again do not mix or stir together. Sprinkle cinnamon.

Bake at 375 degrees for 40-45 minutes or until golden brown. Serve cobbler warm or cold.
