Rosanna's Chocolate Chip Cake with Cream Cheese Frosting

2 1/4 cup flour
1/4 cup dutch process cocoa
small box chocolate pudding mix
1 tsp salt
1 tsp baking soda
2 cups sugar
3/4 cup coconut oil
1/2 cup melted semi sweet chocolate chips
1/2 cup applesauce
2 tsp vanilla
3 eggs
1 cup milk
1/2 cup semi sweet chocolate chips

In a medium mixing bowl whisk together flour, cocoa, pudding mix, salt, and baking soda. Set aside. In a large mixing bowl beat together sugar, canola oil, melted chocolate, applesauce, and vanilla. Add eggs, one at a time, mixing between additions, mix in 1/3 of the flour mixture to the large bowl, scrape sides. add 1/2 cup milk and mix. add 1/2 of the flour mixture, mix and scrape sides. add last 1/2 cup milk and mix. add the remaining flour mixture. mix until smooth. stir in chocolate chips. Bake in sprayed pan at 375 for 40min-1 hour

Cream Cheese Frosting
8 oz cream cheese softened
1/2 cup salted butter softened
1 tablespoon vanilla
4- 4 1/2 cups powdered sugar
Cream together cream cheese and butter. add vanilla and mix. add sugar and mix until smooth. for extra flavor add 1 Tbsp almond extract.
