Frosted Cookies and Cream Cookies

  • 1 cup butter
  • 1 ½ c granulated sugar
  • ¾ c heavy whipping cream
  • 2 ½ tsp vanilla
  • 3-4 cups flour
  • 2 tsp baking powder
  • 1 tsp baking soda
  • ½ tsp salt
  • 6 Oreo cookies broken into pieces

Frosting

  • ½ cup Crisco or Butter*
  • ¾ cup heavy whipping cream
  • 4-5 cups powdered sugar
  • 6 Oreo cookies broken into pieces
  1. Preheat oven to 350° and line a cookie sheet with parchment paper or a silicone baking mat.

  2. In a stand mixer, beat together butter and sugar. Add whipping cream 1/4 cup at a time and the vanilla. Continue to beat until smooth.

  3. Add in 2 cups of flour, baking powder, baking soda and salt. Once the dry ingredients are incorporated, add in the rest of the flour 1/2 cup at a time until the dough pulls away from the edges of the bowl and your dough is soft, but sturdy.

  4. Gently mix in broken Oreo cookies. Don't mix too much or you'll just have Oreo dust in your cookies and they will turn out gray.

  5. Scoop and roll into 1 1/2 in balls and place on cookie sheets. Bake for 8-10 minutes.

  6. Let cool completely on a clean dry surface, then frost.

For the Frosting

  1. Beat Crisco, adding in 1/4 cup of heavy whipping cream at a time until smooth and starting to thicken.

  2. Add 4 cups powdered sugar and mix until it is incorporated. Continue adding powdered sugar until you reach your desired consistency.

  3. Gently stir in broken Oreo pieces, careful not to over mix so they break up too much.

  4. Frost cookies. Serve chilled.
